Parking Rates are Increasing Starting on September 1

Parking rates, both daily and monthly, will increase starting on September 1, 2023, to ensure that Transportation Services meets its obligation to maintain safe and sustainable infrastructure used by drivers, cyclists and pedestrians. The department is responsible for the maintenance of safe, accessible parking areas and campus mobility.

Because Transportation Services is predominantly funded through parking revenue, raising rates will help the department continue to provide services to our commuters, address deferred maintenance and improve mobility.

Prior to making any rate increases, Transportation Services coordinates closely with campus leadership, the Transportation and Parking Administration Advisory Committee (TPAAC), campus stakeholder groups and offers to meet and confer with represented groups. AggiePark via the AMP Park App

UC Davis is making the switch from ParkMobile to AggiePark via the AMP Park app, which offers simplified parking zones and an integrated map. AMP Park is available to the UC Davis community to download and start using, though ParkMobile will continue to be available until October 1, 2023. Lit Not Hit and Helmet Hair Don’t Care

Transportation Services, in partnership with ASUCD Bike Barn, is providing no-cost bike lights to all UC Davis Affiliates who complete a pledge and short education program from dusk to dawn bike safety. Lit Not Hit aims to increase awareness of our Aggie Cyclists around common biking mistakes and how to avoid them.

UC Davis Affiliates can also receive a free bike helmet for completing another short education program, Helmet Hair Don’t Care, dedicated to increasing access to safe and comfortable helmets and awareness of safe biking behaviors.
