Transportation and Parking Impacts

A section of the eastbound lane of La Rue Road, south of Parking Lot 46, will be closed for urgent and immediate repair. The westbound lane will remain open for bi-directional travel and be controlled by construction site flaggers. Expect significant congestion in this area, especially during peak commute times. Construction is expected to last through the end of May.

• On Thursday, May 16, campus began work on the Pavilion Parking Structure to restrict public vehicle and pedestrian access to levels 5 and 6 of the structure. 
• We anticipate this change will have minimal impact on those who park on campus. Sufficient parking can be found in nearby facilities, including Lot 30 (for students, employees, and visitors) and Lot 41 (for employees only until 5 p.m.).

• Expect increased parking congestion in Lot 25 and Pavilion Parking Garage on Friday, May 10 for School of Law Commencement at the UCU Center.

• Expect increased parking congestion in Lot 1, Lot 2, and potentially the Gateway Parking Structure on Thursday, April 18 for the 2024 UC Davis Research Expo.

Expect temporary shutdowns and ringing horns in both the Gateway and Pavilion parking structures for fire alarm testing during the following windows:

• Gateway Parking Structure: Tuesday, April 9, 6:30 - 7 a.m.
• Pavilion Parking Structure: Wednesday, April 10, 6:30 - 7 a.m.

• Westbound lane of Kleiber Hall Dr. at Mann Lab will be closed Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., from February 19 to March 8.
• During the closure, westbound traffic will be directed through Lot 26.

• Expect delays on westbound Hutchison Dr. and Extension Center Dr. February 14 through 16, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for construction.
